Our Teachers

Our teachers follow the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills standards as we aim to prepare students for a competing world. Another goal is to raise the level of rigor in the classroom through research-based lesson planning and instructional strategies. By the time our students leave our school they are bilingual young adults that are ready to take on the challenges of the current work force. This is successful with a strong group of dedicated teachers who understand our student population and their needs. Although our teachers follow the TEKS, they are given certain freedom to determine the sequence of readiness and supporting standards. These decisions are made during Professional Learning Community meetings as vertical alignment is discussed. In order to ensure that our students receive a quality education it is vital that our teachers collaborate as they develop a needs assessment and proper interventions inside and outside of the classroom.
